On Saturday of our Cologne class trip, we took a day trip to Essen. There we toured a coal factory and the Red Dot Museum. The Red Dot museum is a museum of all the top products in each industry. The museum is located in part of the coal factory, so the building was very industrial and the displays were very futuristic. We then went to the city center where they had an ice skating rink and sledding hill. I went skating and bought a mug of hot chocolate!
